Renee King is a Family Nurse Practitioner and one of a small number of Certified Addiction Registered Nurses — Advanced Practice (CARN-AP) in the state of New Hampshire. She has served as Director of Nursing and Primary Nurse Practitioner at Liberty Health Services since 2022, where she oversees medical operations and provides direct clinical care to patients in withdrawal management and medication-assisted treatment.
Renee earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Rivier University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society.
Her clinical background spans more than a decade across medical-surgical nursing, oncology, spinal cord and neuromuscular rehabilitation, urgent care, and pain management. Before specializing in addiction medicine, she worked at Southern NH Medical Center, where she served as charge nurse, preceptor, and chair of her unit's practice committee, and was recognized with an excellence in care award.
Renee has dedicated significant time to addiction-related policy at the state level. She has testified before the New Hampshire legislature on multiple occasions, including providing testimony on SB 557, a bill to ban kratom in New Hampshire, and submitting written testimony on legislation to restrict the sale of nitrous oxide. Her op-ed on addiction and community responsibility was published in the Merrimack Patch.
